School of Health Education

At CVCC, we believe that national accreditation helps to ensure our students receive the highest level of education possible. Each program in the School of Health Education meets or exceeds each of the prescribed program outcomes required to earn and maintain national accreditation. These include student retention rates, national or state board test pass rates, and job placement rates.

Each of our program labs require physical equipment and specialized software to ensure students are prepared for industry standards. Unfortunately, the cost of this specialized equipment is beyond the constraints of state budget allocations.

After ten years of operation, Catawba Valley Community College’s Valley Sim Hospital continues to be one of the premier simulation centers in the Southeast. Our goal is to continue to provide immersive learning experiences for healthcare practitioners and students. Through web based, hands-on and hybrid learning, the utilization of CVCC Valley Sim continues to evolve and allows learners to practice and develop clinical expertise without any risk of patient harm.
